What's a bad vagina smell ?A bad vagina smell is a smell that first is different from your Normal vagina smell. You may experience bad vagina smell during pregnancy or bad vagina smell after sex or bad vagina smell like garlic or bad vagina smell before periods or bad vagina smell after periods etc .Bad vagina smell may be an indication of a serious infection .

Foul vagina smell


This is a smell that's definitely bad even to you .It may smell like some rotten flesh or a wound that's taking long to heal .It mostly will be accompanied by a low grade fever that may continue or subside after sometime. This may be accompanied with lower abdominal pain and sometimes pain during sexual intercourse .This may later progress into Pelvic inflammatory disease .The major culprits for this types of smell are Chlamydia and gonorrhea .In some cases it may be an indication of bacterial vaginosis .The discharge associated with this smell as shown .


This types of smell and infections can be easily cleared with some antibiotics especially doxycycline and amoxicillin.

Fishy vagina smell

 A fishy vagina smell is an indication of a serious vagina infection .If the smell increases drastically especially after sex with white and yellowish discharge as shown below you are most likely suffering from bacterial vaginosis .
Trichomoniasis is also associated with creation of a fishy vagina smell.
If you notice such a smell its best to visit your gynecologist soon as possible .
Fishy vagina smell can be easily cleared out with some narrow spectrum antibiotics.

Yeasty vagina smell 


This is usually a bread like smell that is usually associated with a yeast Infection .Your vagina may have a cheese like smell .
Your vagina usually has some certain species of yeast as normal flora .However frequent use of antibiotics or spermicides may lead you to developing a yeast infection .This yeasty smell is usually accompanied with itching of vagina and vulva . The vaginal discharge may sometimes not have any smell .The discharge is similar to this
This yeast smell and yeast infection can be treated with simple antifungals eg Clotrimazole .As well its Better to improve on hygiene .
